Mexican authorities detained a leader of a Northeast Cartel cell in Nuevo León. The operation also netted a woman accomplice along with weapons, vehicles and seven tigers.
Security officials announced the arrest of José Antonio Cortes Huerta, 39, on Monday. He leads a cell tied to the Northeast Cartel and was detained following an investigation that began with a boat seizure in Tamaulipas. A 41-year-old woman, Rosario Flores Alemán, was arrested with him.
