The National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild announced plans to host Hockey Fights Cancer™ Awareness Night on Sunday, November 16, 2025, when they face the Vegas Golden Knights at 5 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This initiative, presented by HealthPartners Cancer Care, will highlight cancer patients, survivors, and charities throughout the game, incorporating the Hockey Fights Cancer theme into many elements.

Fans attending the game are urged to wear lavender to demonstrate support. The Minnesota Wild Foundation's Split the Pot Raffle partner for the night is the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, which focuses on supporting research to end childhood cancer. Attendees can participate by filling out “I Fight For” signs at arena locations and raising them during a designated moment in the second period. Those not at the game can download a sign from Wild.com/HFC, complete it, and share on social media with #MNWild and #hockeyfightscancer.

HealthPartners will promote its myGenetics program at Section 104, offering information on DNA-based health research for personalized care. Visit healthpartners.com/mygenetics for details.

Following the game, the Wild Foundation will run a 2025 HFC Auction from November 25 to December 2, featuring autographed memorabilia like locker room nameplates, baseball hats, and mini helmets from the 2025-26 Minnesota Wild roster. Proceeds benefit the foundation; bid at wild.com/onlineauctions or text HFC2025 to 76278.

In-game, a Hockey Fights Cancer Mystery Puck sale will occur at Section 104 starting at gate open, priced at $30 each while supplies last. Each puck is autographed by a 2025-26 Wild player, with cashless purchases only and proceeds to the foundation.

Special honors include eight-year-old Breckon Sedam, battling leukemia since age three, as the honorary flag bearer. His twin brother Owen and younger brother Ethan will be honorary Blue Line Buddies. Venessa McConkey, diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2016 and breast cancer this year, along with daughter Evelyn, will make the “Let’s Play Hockey!” announcement. Her sons Jace and Dylan will also serve as Blue Line Buddies.

Hockey Fights Cancer, founded in 1998 by the NHL and NHLPA, has raised more than $44 million overall. Powered by the V Foundation and presented by AstraZeneca, it collected over $12 million in the past two seasons. The Minnesota Wild supports the program annually; in 2024-25, it raised $8.2 million, directing $4.6 million to research, with 26 grants awarded in 16 NHL markets over the past two seasons.
