MLSC Samarinda series 2 2025-2026 succeeds with 642 girls

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Samarinda Series 2 2025-2026 girls' soccer tournament concluded successfully at Borneo FC Training Centre from April 23 to 26, 2026. It featured 642 girls from 44 madrasahs and elementary schools around Samarinda in 62 teams for under-10 and under-12 categories. SDN 008 Palaran and SDN 002 Samarinda Kota claimed the titles in each age group.

The tournament, initiated by BODF and MilkLife, drew 642 girls in 30 under-10 teams and 32 under-12 teams. Organized by Bayan Peduli, it received full support from PT Bayan Resources Tbk Director Merlin, who expressed pride in the participants' spirit. "We are proud to see the girls competing with full enthusiasm... Bayan Group is committed to 'Berkarya Nyata, Bangun Bangsa'", she said.

MLSC Program Director Teddy Tjahjono praised the high enthusiasm in debutant Samarinda. "The enthusiasm of girls in Samarinda is extraordinary... This is key capital for long-term girls' soccer development in East Kalimantan", he stated. Head Coach Jacksen Ferreira Tiago plans intensive training for 25 top players ahead of the MLSC All-Stars in Kudus in June 2026.

In the under-10 final, SDN 008 Palaran defeated SDN 009 Samarinda Seberang 1-0 via Girana Natasha's 22nd-minute goal. "I'm so happy to score and lead our school to victory", Girana said. The under-12 final saw SDN 002 Samarinda Kota win 5-2 against SDN 018 Samarinda Ulu, highlighted by Adiba Sanas Primayuga's hat-trick.

Jacksen noted MLSC brings new hope for girls' soccer in Samarinda, previously lacking dedicated competitions. Borneo FC Academy plans to launch a girls' class on May 17.
