Naveen Polishetty excited for Anaganaga Oka Raju Sankranthi release

Actor Naveen Polishetty shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming Telugu film Anaganaga Oka Raju, slated for release on January 14, 2026, during the Sankranthi festival. At a promotional event in Hyderabad, he reflected on his recovery from a 2024 accident and highlighted the film's festive fit. The movie marks his return following three consecutive blockbusters.

Naveen Polishetty, known for his string of successful films, is gearing up for the release of Anaganaga Oka Raju, a project produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their banner. Directed by debutant Maari, the film stars Polishetty alongside Meenakshi Chaudhary and is set to arrive in theaters on January 14, 2026, coinciding with the Sankranthi celebrations.

The promotional campaign kicked off with an innovative event called Raju Gari Pelli Reception at a hotel in Hyderabad, where Polishetty and Chaudhary entertained attendees by dancing to two already-released songs from the soundtrack.

Speaking at the event, Polishetty extended New Year wishes, saying, “I hope 2026 brings light and happiness into everyone’s lives.” He opened up about personal challenges, noting that 2024 was difficult after his three hits: “An accident kept me away from shooting. It took considerable time to recover both mentally and physically. During that recovery phase, I spent time with my team developing the story for Anaganaga Oka Raju.”

Production began in February 2025 and wrapped within six months. Polishetty praised the outcome: “The output has come out really well. When we discussed release plans, our producers felt Sankranthi would be the perfect time.” He emphasized the film's alignment with the season: “Sankranthi represents celebration and entertainment, and our film perfectly fits that festive vibe. There’s a lot of fun and entertainment in Anaganaga Oka Raju, and I’m confident audiences will enjoy it during this festive season.”

Reflecting on his career, Polishetty said, “I once stood in the crowd cheering for films as a fan, and today I am an actor standing here. What makes me even happier is that my film is releasing alongside the stars whose movies I used to watch with admiration. I thank the audience wholeheartedly for bringing me to this stage.” He also commended his co-star and team: “Meenakshi, I, and the entire team worked with complete dedication and heart.”

Polishetty extended best wishes to competing releases, including Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Prabhas's The Raja Saab, adding, “This Sankranthi is going to be a grand cinematic feast for Telugu audiences.”
