Publishers are preparing to release several works of historical fiction focused on asian american experiences. Two more titles, fishbone cinderella by elizabeth lim and when mikan road was ours by d k furutani, both arrive on july 28 2026. The chinese lady by bo wang is set for september 8 2026 and recounts the story of afong moy, the first chinese woman brought to the united states in the 1830s.
