Nike releases charcoal Air Max 95 sneakers

Nike has launched a new blacked-out version of the Air Max 95 with a canvas upper in black and light charcoal tones. The sneaker is available now through JD Sports for international buyers at a price of £175.

The model, called the Air Max 95 Big Bubble in "Black/Light Charcoal," features darkened canvas panels along the sidewalls. This gives the shoe a quiet, rugged appearance that differs from standard all-black releases.

The design draws on Nike's past work with workwear brands, though this pair is not part of a new collaboration with Carhartt. Earlier joint projects between the two included canvas sneakers and apparel, with the most recent in 2025.

The sneakers are listed on JD Sports' international site but cannot be shipped to the United States. A broader release may follow later.

Nike has begun rolling out two new Air Max 95 colorways built on canvas uppers. The jet-black and Smoke Grey versions draw comparisons to earlier Levi’s and Stussy collaborations. A wider release is expected during the fall or winter season.
