Olivia Rodrigo recalls near-anxiety attack before Glastonbury set

Olivia Rodrigo has described nearly suffering an anxiety attack before her 2025 Glastonbury headline performance during a recent interview.

Speaking to the BBC, Rodrigo recalled feeling overwhelmed ahead of the show. "I remember having a near-anxiety attack in the bathroom, like, ‘How am I going to do this? I don’t know if I’m ready,’" she said.

Once on stage, her nerves gave way to calm. "Something overcame me the second I stepped on stage and started singing. I felt totally calm and so in my element," Rodrigo added.

The performance, which followed her 2022 appearance on a smaller Glastonbury stage, became one of her career highlights. She shared the stage with Robert Smith of The Cure and later reunited with him at Primavera Sound in Barcelona to debut material from her new album.

Rodrigo said the experience was magical and that she put significant care into preparing the set.

Olivia Rodrigo released 'Drop Dead,' the lead single from her upcoming third album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, she revealed she has not yet played the Cure-inspired track for Robert Smith, despite lyrics referencing his band's 'Just Like Heaven.' The song arrives with a music video filmed at the Palace of Versailles.

Tori Amos performed at Cirkus in Stockholm after a dramatic journey from Copenhagen where her tour bus avoided colliding with a moose. The 63-year-old artist showed no visible effect during the show.
