Three-time Oscar nominee Michelle Pfeiffer leads as Stacy Clyburn, the formidable matriarch and mother to daughters Paige (Elle Chapman) and Abigail (Beau Garrett). Kurt Russell portrays her husband Preston Clyburn, with sources indicating he may appear primarily in flashbacks as a possibly deceased character. The cast also features Patrick J. Adams as Paige's investment banker husband Russell McIntosh, described as someone who has followed a predetermined life path.
