Real Madrid submit bid for Yan Diomande

Real Madrid have submitted a bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande and entered talks with the Bundesliga club. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international has made the Spanish side his preferred destination.

Real Madrid are exploring options on the right wing in case Brahim Diaz leaves this summer. The club have already signed Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries and Marc Cucurella under head coach Jose Mourinho and are also pursuing Manchester City midfielder Rodri.

Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Diomande but have not yet made an offer that would convince Leipzig to sell. Liverpool had earlier explored a deal worth around £87 million, though Leipzig valued the player closer to £113 million.

Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schafer said the club’s intention is for Diomande to remain next season. The teenager scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 33 Bundesliga matches last season and featured for Ivory Coast at the World Cup.
