Return of strong heat expected this weekend in France

After the late May episode, a new rise in temperatures is forecast for June 13 and 14. It will mainly affect the west and south of the country.

A temperature rise of 7 to 10 °C is expected between Saturday and Sunday over a large part of the territory. Highs should reach 28 to 35 °C in the west and south, with possible peaks of 32-34 °C in Aquitaine and the Midi-Toulousain. La Chaîne Météo states that anticyclonic conditions will favor a summer-like atmosphere. A south to south-west flow will bring warmer air from the Iberian Peninsula. Areas north of the Seine may retain a cooler oceanic influence on Saturday. Nationally, the thermal indicator is expected to move above normal from Saturday and approach 21 °C early next week.
