Russian attack kills at least two in Kryvyi Rih

Russian attacks on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih have killed at least two people and injured four others, including a nine-month-old girl.

Regional governor Olexander Hanscha said a 65-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man died in the evening attack. The injured infant is being treated in critical condition at a hospital.

President Wolodymyr Selenskyj condemned the strike on a residential building as cynical and militarily senseless. He wrote on X that after the three-day ceasefire ended on Monday, Russia was again killing Ukrainians and pressure on Moscow must not ease.

Kryvyi Rih is Selenskyj's hometown and has been targeted multiple times. The ceasefire was mediated by US President Donald Trump at Moscow's request. Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that operations had resumed.
