Sacai unveils SS27 collection with Birkenstock hybrids

Sacai presented its Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection titled “The New Classics” during Paris Fashion Week. The show featured collaborations with Birkenstock, Brooks Brothers, and Soul II Soul.

Creative director Chitose Abe blended traditional preppy tailoring with subcultural elements. The collection re-engineered Brooks Brothers blazers through layering and added chin ties.

A key partnership with Birkenstock produced hybrid sandals combining the Boston clog and Arizona sandal. Select versions included custom fine-line graphics by tattoo artist Dr. Woo.

The designs appeared in double and triple-strapped configurations in black, beige, and slate grey tones. A matching utility bag was also shown, featuring Birkenstock’s bone-pattern outsole and an orthopedic-style strap.

Soul II Soul provided custom textiles with archival images and track titles such as “Back to Life.” The presentation emphasized liberation of classic menswear forms.
