SEVENTEEN and (G)I-DLE win Billboard cross-market K-pop awards

Tencent Music, Billboard China and Billboard Korea have announced the winners of their first joint fan voting initiative for K-pop artists. The results combine votes from China and Korea across four categories.

The winners are SEVENTEEN in the Boy Group category with 《THUNDER》, (G)I-DLE in the Girl Group category with 《나는 아픈 건 딱 질색이니까 (Fate)》, THE8 in the Male Solo category with 《Cold Love》 and NINGNING in the Female Solo category with 《Ketchup And Lemonade (NINGNING Solo)》.

The project selected nominees using performance data from the Tencent Music Korean Chart and recommendations by Billboard Korea's editorial team. Fans then voted in separate China and Korea channels, with the final results based on the combined totals.

Voting in both markets produced identical winners for the two solo categories. In the Korea channel alone, BTS topped the Boy Group vote while BLACKPINK led the Girl Group vote.

This marks the first collaboration of its kind between the three organizations and highlights both shared audience preferences and regional differences in fan support.
