Slipknot has announced a full physical release for its experimental album Look Outside Your Window, set to arrive in multiple formats on June 12. The project, recorded in 2008 during sessions for All Hope Is Gone, first appeared in a limited Record Store Day edition last month.
The band recorded the material on a farm during a chaotic period, creating an atmospheric collection that blends subtle drum loops, organ, guitar noise, and samples of frogs and crickets. In a statement, Slipknot described the work as a tribute to an experimental spirit with no rules, noting that the sense of the unknown seeped into the music itself.
