SMHI has expanded its warning for high temperatures in Sweden. A heat wave is expected to hit as early as Friday with temperatures up to 30 degrees.
SMHI is now warning of high temperatures in large parts of Götaland from Friday until Sunday. The warning covers areas from Sjöbo in the south up to Skövde and Linköping.
Previously the agency had flagged temperatures over 30 degrees for several days in Blekinge and Kalmar counties. Nights are also expected to be warm during the period.
The yellow warning applies from Thursday to Sunday evening. Early next week rain showers from the southwest are expected to bring cooler weather across the country.
