Anthony Guidera, the actor known for Species and The Godfather Part III, died at age 65 on June 6 after weeks on life support. He collapsed at his Southern California home in May when his heart stopped beating.
Guidera spent three weeks on life support following the May 11 incident. His wife Valerie chose to remove the machines and bring him home for a natural death. The cause remains undetermined. Valerie posted on Facebook that the family was devastated and asked for prayers, describing Anthony as a beloved husband and father. His career included roles in The Rock, Armageddon and The Postman. He won the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss with Natasha Henstridge for their scene in Species and appeared on shows such as Baywatch and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
