Tesla has expanded its Robotaxi testing fleet in Texas by adding 58 Model Y SUVs. The move increases the total number of registered test vehicles in the state to 175. Data from state records show the additions represent a 50 percent growth.
According to the Texas Autonomous Vehicle Tracker, the new vehicles were recently registered. The Dallas Tesla Club verified the increase by checking the state DMV registry.
Tesla has not specified the cities where the additional Model Ys will operate. The expansion points to broader public trials in the near future.
The update reflects ongoing efforts by the company to scale its autonomous vehicle program in Texas.
