Two rape cases have been reported during Classic Car Week in Rättvik. Both incidents occurred on Saturday evening and two people have been detained.
Police confirm that two people have been detained on suspicion of two separate rapes during the event. Interrogations are ongoing and a prosecutor will decide on possible detention.
Municipal police officer Kjell Bond states that police have also handled around ten assault cases, some drunk driving incidents and threats during the week. He calls for more sober adults to be out and keep an eye on what is happening.
Classic Car Week is underway in Rättvik with tens of thousands of visitors. Police have reinforcements from nearby towns to manage crime.
