Two people were seriously injured in an accident on a country road in the Neuwied district on Monday midday.
A motorcycle collided head-on with an oncoming car in a curve near Neustadt (Wied). The motorcycle rider and passenger suffered serious injuries and were flown by rescue helicopter to a clinic.
The car driver was lightly injured and also taken to a hospital. The cause of the accident remains unclear.
A total of three people were injured, two of them seriously.
