Tyla is set to make her voice acting debut in the Sub-Saharan edition of Toy Story 5. The film is scheduled to reach theaters on June 19. She will voice an inflatable flamingo character.
Tyla expressed excitement about the role after receiving the offer from Pixar. She described the opportunity as a full-circle moment, noting that she grew up watching the Toy Story films with her family. In a video shared on Disney Africa's Instagram, Tyla urged fans to see the movie together. 'Come and watch with your whole family because your girl Tyla is in the movie as the inflatable flamingo,' she said. The American voice cast for Toy Story 5 includes Bad Bunny as Pizza with Sunglasses. Taylor Swift contributed the song 'I Knew It, I Knew You' to the soundtrack and performed it with Randy Newman at the U.S. premiere. Tyla's second album A*Pop is scheduled for release on July 24 through FAX/Epic. It features the single 'She Did It Again' with Zara Larsson. She is also set to perform at the 2026 World Cup opening ceremonies on June 11 in Inglewood and June 12 in Mexico City.
