Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro confirmed a physical altercation with former Miami Heat teammate Bam Adebayo in Las Vegas last week. Herro said he wants to move past the incident and focus on his new team.
Herro spoke to ESPN after being traded to the Bucks on June 22 as part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo deal. The 2019 No. 13 draft pick said he is ready to represent his hometown of Milwaukee.
The altercation occurred when Adebayo confronted Herro at a hotel where Herro's AAU team was practicing. Sources told ESPN that Adebayo struck Herro near the chin. Herro did not fall to the ground and was restrained by others present.
Herro told ESPN he is not pursuing legal action. The Heat said they were aware of the incident but would not comment further. No NBA investigation has been reported.
Herro added that he aims to build something special with the Bucks after they traded their franchise icon.
