Woman sentenced after dog attack on boy in Avesta

Falu District Court has sentenced a woman in her mid-20s after her dog attacked a boy in a park in Avesta.

The incident took place in October 2025. The boy was playing with friends when the American Bully breed dog broke free from its leash and jumped on him.

The boy suffered bites and scratches to his face, arm and ear. He received permanent scars as a result of the attack.

The court found the woman guilty in connection with the incident that caused the injuries.
