Wu Lyf announce retail release of new album

Wu Lyf have announced that their album 'A Wave That Will Never Break' will be available in record shops worldwide from June 26. The release comes via LYF Recordings and features exclusive new artwork. The album first appeared in April exclusively through the band's own platform.

The Manchester indie band shared the album initially only with fans through worldunite.org and their LYF community. It marked their first release in 15 years and followed their 2011 debut 'Go Tell Fire To The Mountain'. The album debuted at Number 13 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

Wu Lyf explained their approach to the rollout earlier this year. They aimed to let listeners experience the work as a whole rather than through streaming services like Spotify. The band has also removed its back catalogue from the platform.

Tom McClung and Ellery Roberts discussed the band's intuitive decisions. They noted that choices were made based on what felt true in the moment and that an alternative path is possible.

Later this year Wu Lyf will embark on a UK and European headline tour.
