WWE 2K26 reveals details on creations and universe mode

Developer 2K Games has shared new information on WWE 2K26's Universe mode and creation features ahead of its March 6, 2026 release. The updates include a new WWE Draft system and expanded customization options for players. These enhancements aim to provide greater control over rosters, storylines, and character designs.

WWE 2K26 introduces several updates to its Universe mode, a sandbox where players manage feuds, storylines, and match outcomes. A key addition is the WWE Draft system, which allows trading of Superstars between show rosters over a week. Players can create, edit, or remove drafts to keep the experience dynamic.

The new Universe Wizard enables selection of weekly shows and Premium Live Events (PLEs), assignment of Superstars and champions to each, and choice of starting calendar month. Other features include a Watch Show mode, improved Money in the Bank cash-ins, and new promo types. Each show supports up to eight titles across men's and women's divisions, including tag team and intergender championships, plus two Money in the Bank briefcases.

Promo improvements enhance variety and realism. Self-Promos let Superstars announce shifts like becoming a hero or villain, changing divisions, issuing challenges, or leaving a show. In Call-Out or Interrupt Promos, challengers can select match types or title challenges, while champions choose venues for defenses. Open Challenges now include spontaneous title matches. Post-Match Interviews allow winners to declare division changes, contender matches, or title challenges, with losers able to interrupt via handshakes, brawls, or staredowns.

Community Creations sees expansions such as doubling Create-A-Superstar slots to 200 and Create-An-Image slots to 2,000. Body morphing permits mixing body parts for unique looks, and two-tone hair blending adds creative options. For Nintendo Switch 2 users, Joy-Con 2 mouse controls support body paint customization, alongside an Image Uploader feature. Create-An-Arena includes LED barricades and increased options for ring aprons and announce tables. An advanced timeline applies to all entrance motions, covering champions, double champions, MITB holders, and defaults.

These details were revealed through developer notes and a trailer this week.
