The official Xbox account announced the delay late on May 29 via a post on X. It cited the need to plan launches through the holidays in a way that works best for players. The post listed several 2026 releases including Grand Theft Auto VI, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Gears of War: E-Day as part of the packed lineup.
