HBO is developing a TV series based on the Baldur's Gate video game franchise, specifically continuing the story from Baldur's Gate 3. The project is being led by Craig Mazin, the showrunner of HBO's The Last of Us. It will feature both returning and new characters dealing with the aftermath of the game's events.
A remake of Baldur's Gate 2 is reportedly underway at Wizards of the Coast. The project involves original co-lead designer Kevin Martens. Both the first and second games may receive simultaneous treatment.

Beamdog has released a beta update for the enhanced editions of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, along with Icewind Dale and the Siege of Dragonspear expansion. The Infinity Engine 2.7 patch, the first since 2021, focuses on stability, modern platform support, and new language translations. It is currently available on Steam, with a full release planned for GOG.
