Legendary game developer Tim Cain, known for creating the original Fallout, has returned to Obsidian Entertainment as a full-time employee after a period of semi-retirement. In a YouTube video announced on December 5, 2025, Cain shared details of his relocation to Southern California and his excitement to work on new projects at the studio. He previously contributed remotely to The Outer Worlds 2 as a contractor.
