Pitching Contract

Left-hander Framber Valdez, the top remaining free-agent starter, has agreed to a three-year, $115 million contract with the Detroit Tigers, pending a physical. The deal includes an opt-out after the 2027 season and enhances Detroit's rotation alongside Tarik Skubal. Valdez brings a proven track record from eight seasons with the Houston Astros.
