Sture Helmersson, 7, from Böle outside Råneå has a riding mower converted into a hot rod. The car was built by his father Alexander Helmersson and Sture can drive it himself.
Sture Helmersson lives in the small community of Böle with his father. They have converted a riding mower with a grille from an older car as the base. The steering wheel is made from a chain that Sture painted gold and the gear lever is a sharpened axe. It started with a pedal car resembling a Moskvich when Sture was one year old. Later the father built an electric copy of an AC Cobra that worked as a stroller. Sture is now the youngest member of Råne Cruisers and displays the car at veteran car meets at Café Tosca in Råneå. An old truck also stands in the garage as a long-term project. Sture dreams of longer trips and sleeping in the truck with bass speakers under the bed.
