During the session, the council reviewed and approved the promotion queries for 28 judges presented by Ato Musa Abdo, President of the Regional Supreme Court. The nominees duly took their oaths of office.

Among these appointees, six were assigned to the Supreme Court, 12 to the High Court, and 13 to Woreda Courts, signaling a strengthening of the judiciary's capacity in the region.

In addition to judicial matters, the council endorsed structural changes within institutions. It decided to transform the previously named Innovation and Technology Commission into the Afar Region Innovation and Technology Bureau. This move is expected to bolster technological development in the region.
