Aguascalientes trains companies in Japan to lead electromobility

Twelve automotive companies from Aguascalientes will participate in a training program in Japan from February 1 to 16, aiming to boost their competitiveness and position the state as a leader in electromobility in Mexico. Governor Tere Jiménez announced the initiative, supported by Japan's International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Governor Tere Jiménez of Aguascalientes announced the “Automotive Industry Strengthening Program,” which will send 12 local companies to train in Hiroshima and Yokohama, Japan, from February 1 to 16. The mission aims to provide participants with advanced management tools and methodologies to enhance production processes, ensure quality, and adopt cutting-edge manufacturing practices, easing their integration into global supply chains.

Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology Esaú Garza de Vega noted that the program stems from an agreement with JICA and is part of a broader strategy to develop local suppliers, promote industrial innovation, and ready the sector for future mobility challenges. “The training of specialized human talent is a fundamental pillar to keep Aguascalientes as a benchmark in the automotive industry, as well as to consolidate its transition to new production models linked to electromobility,” Garza de Vega emphasized.

The participating companies are Instrumentos y Controles Programables, Newcond Castings, Quality BOLCA, Hecort Industrial, Manufacturas Mecánicas IPM, Estaracks, Miraplastek, SEINA, Acabados Metálicos Innovadores, Metalistik, Ditromexico, and Stamptek. Their executives and technicians will join to boost sector productivity.

This initiative underscores the state government's commitment to sustainable economic growth and innovation, solidifying Aguascalientes as a key hub in Mexico's automotive industry.
