The family of former Caifanes guitarist Alejandro Marcovich reported that the musician is in a coma in intensive care after suffering a stroke on May 19.
The family statement details that Marcovich was rushed to the hospital last Tuesday. He is under specialist care alongside his wife and two children.
The musician will not be able to perform at scheduled concerts. Friends and colleagues have sent messages of support.
Gabriel Siqueros of Los Amantes de Lola confirmed he is delicate but alive and asked for prayers for his recovery. Saúl Hernández of Caifanes conveyed a warm embrace during a concert in Guanajuato on May 23.
The family thanked supporters on Instagram and stated they will overcome this difficult test. No changes in his condition have been reported.
