Andes Salud acquires control of Clínica Imet in Magallanes

Andes Salud finalized the purchase of 64% of Clínica Imet, a private health center in the Magallanes Region, after nine months of negotiations. The company announced an investment exceeding US$10 million to expand the facility. This move is part of its development plan across Chile's regions.

Andes Salud, founded in 2018 and linked to families like Imschenetzky —owners of casino Marina del Sol— and Saenz Poch, acquired 64% control of Clínica Imet. The center, created that same year by resident doctors from Punta Arenas, has 2,435 m² built on a 5,835 m² plot and focuses on ambulatory care, diagnostics, specialties, and medium-complexity procedures.

The company, present in Calama, Talca, Chillán, Concepción, Los Ángeles, Puerto Montt, and Ancud, stated this acquisition will strengthen health services in Magallanes. In the first stage, current services remain while implementing their management model and rebranding to Andes Salud. Plans include enhancing major ambulatory surgery and new agreements with Fonasa and Isapres.

"The takeover of Clínica Imet in Magallanes is part of Andes Salud's development plan, which will expand health coverage and access in our country's regions. Today we have five clinics, three medical centers, and over 20 ambulatory centers," said Leonidas Rosas, manager of development and new businesses at Andes Salud.

In a second phase, they will acquire a 3,360 m² plot to expand into hospital and surgical activities. Total investment, including purchase and growth, will exceed US$10 million. On Friday, in an extraordinary meeting, Gonzalo Grebe Noguera, Ricardo Torres Aravena, and Fernando Sáenz Llorente will join the board, with Grebe as president.
