August Tornberg returns home to Boden

Defenseman August Tornberg has signed with Boden after leaving KalPa in Finland. The 34-year-old cited family reasons for the move back to his hometown club.

August Tornberg is returning to Boden after several seasons in higher leagues. The 34-year-old defenseman ended his time in Färjestad last fall and played for KalPa in Finland before choosing to come home.

Family played a central role in the decision. Tornberg noted that his partner had carried a heavy load during his travels and now wants to return to work. He added that Boden's project also appealed to him.

Tornberg emphasized his commitment. "Jag kommer inte hem för att ta semester eller något sånt," he said, stressing that he brings experience from winning the SM gold with Färjestad.

Boden has also added Radek Muzik and Niclas Burström to its roster for the upcoming season.
