In the sold-out BayArena before 30,210 fans, Bayern under coach Vincent Kompany took early control, building on their quarterfinal success against RB Leipzig. Jamal Musiala played a low pass into the box, where Harry Kane (22') took Luis Díaz's layoff and slotted precisely into the top corner. The visitors dominated, barely letting Leverkusen advance.
After halftime, Bayern maintained superiority despite Leverkusen's attempts to escape pressure with long balls. Nathan Tella forced a save from Manuel Neuer, but Bayer keeper Mark Flekken frustrated the Munich side. Díaz (90.+3) finished a late counter for 2-0.
"That was a top performance from start to finish," Kane told Sky. Captain Neuer on ZDF: "I've definitely missed Berlin." Leverkusen's Robert Andrich lamented: "In the first half, we saw no daylight."
Three days after their 35th league title, it's Bayern's first cup final in six years, last in 2019/20 under Hansi Flick. On May 23 in Berlin's Olympiastadion, they face VfB Stuttgart or SC Freiburg. Leverkusen under Kasper Hjulmand now aims for Champions League from sixth place.
