Belle & Sebastian have written a new song titled ‘It Only Takes One Lion’ as an anthem for Scotland at the World Cup. Frontman Stuart Murdoch discussed the track in a recent interview.
The band described the song as a hymn-meets-disco banger created to support Scottish hopes at the tournament.
Murdoch provided the quote “Who needs three? I wouldn’t know!” in reference to the track. He also spoke about his personal connection to the team and the process of writing the anthem.
