Bik Karlskoga completed an impressive comeback in the Hockeyallsvenskan semifinal against Modo Hockey. After being counted out following the loss in game five, they tied the series in Örnsköldsvik and sealed it at home with a 4-1 win in the seventh game on Monday.
Modo took the lead through Elton Hermansson, but Simen Andre Edvardsen equalized on a power play. Oliver Eklind scored 2-1 early in the second period and later became the two-goal scorer with an empty-net goal. Hampus Plato also netted a late empty-netter. The game ended 4-1 (1-1, 1-0, 2-0).
"We will go all the way", says match hero Oliver Eklind.
Bik Karlskoga now faces Björklöven in a best-of-seven final series, starting Wednesday in Umeå. A win there would bring them closer to the SHL dream.
