Blade Runner 2099 series sets November release on Prime Video

Prime Video will release its limited series Blade Runner 2099 on November 25. All eight episodes become available that day. The announcement came with a teaser trailer at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel.

The series is set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049. It follows a replicant uprising in a reborn Los Angeles. Hunter Schafer stars as Cora, a fugitive who assumes the identity of a Blade Runner. Michelle Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant with limited time left.

Cora and Olwen team up to track a runaway whose secret threatens their city. The teaser features Schafer's voice saying, "Replicants. They keep taking it all away. How much longer until we have nothing?"

Silka Luisa serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ridley Scott acts as an executive producer. Additional cast members include Lewis Gribben, Dimitri Abold, Matthew Needham, and others from various series. Jonathan van Tulleken directed the first two episodes.
