Blues set to host Flyers in key homestand game

The St. Louis Blues will look to build on their recent win over Calgary when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday, November 14, at Enterprise Center. Riding momentum from a strong homestand, the Blues face a Flyers team led by new coach Rick Tocchet. This matchup marks the first of two meetings between the teams this season.

The Blues enter the game with a 6-8-3 record, coming off a victory against the Calgary Flames where goaltender Jordan Binnington made 38 saves to secure his fourth win of the season. St. Louis has been solid on special teams, boasting a 24.4 percent power play and 70.5 percent penalty kill, while averaging 2.76 goals for and 3.76 against per game.

The Flyers hold an 8-5-3 record and feature a balanced attack with 2.56 goals for and against per game. Under new head coach Rick Tocchet, Philadelphia emphasizes grit and accountability. Forward Travis Konecny leads the way with 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 16 games, currently on a five-game point streak. Captain Sean Couturier provides two-way stability in the middle.

For the Blues, forward Dylan Holloway has been a standout, notching 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) in his last 11 games while averaging 18:34 of ice time. Pius Suter leads the team with 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) this season, and defenseman Cam Fowler is one point shy of 500 career NHL points.

Historically, the Blues went 0-1-1 against the Flyers last season but have been competitive, posting a 2-2-1 record over the last five meetings. St. Louis has excelled on the penalty kill in this series, denying Philadelphia power-play goals in eight straight games and killing off all 19 penalties.

The game tips off at 7 p.m. CT and can be watched on FanDuel Sports Network Midwest or listened to on 101 ESPN.
