On Sumatra, cloudy conditions are expected in Banda Aceh, while light rain is possible in Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Bengkulu, and Pangkalpinang. Palembang may see moderate rain, and Bandar Lampung should watch for thunderstorms.
For Java, Yogyakarta is forecast to be cloudy, with light rain in Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, and Semarang. Surabaya is advised to beware of thunderstorms, said Miftah Ali. In Kalimantan, light rain is predicted in Tanjung Selor, Palangka Raya, and Samarinda, while Pontianak and Banjarmasin face thunder risks.
Bali and Nusa Tenggara show cloudy weather in Mataram, light rain in Denpasar, and potential thunderstorms in Kupang. Sulawesi is expected to be cloudy in Gorontalo, with light rain in Palu, Manado, and Makassar. Maluku will experience light rain in Ternate and Ambon, while Papua has hazy air in Sorong and light rain in Manokwari, Nabire, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke.
Specifically in DKI Jakarta, all areas will be covered by thick clouds in the morning from 07:00 to 10:00 WIB, partly cloudy in the afternoon, and light rain from 16:00 WIB. Temperatures range from 24-32 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of 1-17 km/h.
BMKG also reports the tropical cyclone seed 91S in the Indian Ocean west of Lampung moving east and weakening within 48-72 hours, with winds of 10-15 knots. This dynamic could lead to heavy to very heavy rain in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Papua, Papua, Papua Mountains, and South Papua.
