The NHL announced its Three Stars of the Week presented by GEICO, honoring standout performances from Oct. 21-26.

First Star: Macklin Celebrini, San Jose Sharks

The 19-year-old center topped the league with 5 goals and 5 assists for 10 points in four games, powering the Sharks (2-5-2, 6 points) to their first two victories of the 2025-26 season. On Oct. 21, he scored once in a 4-3 loss to the New York Islanders. Celebrini then exploded for 3 goals and 2 assists, including the primary assist on Will Smith's overtime winner, in a 6-5 victory against the New York Rangers on Oct. 23—his second career five-point game. He added an assist in a 3-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 24 and finished with 1 goal and 2 assists, including his second career overtime goal, in a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 26. The No. 1 pick from the 2024 NHL Draft and a 2024-25 Calder finalist (25-38—63 in 70 games), Celebrini has 6 goals and 9 assists for 15 points in nine games this season. He joins Wayne Gretzky, Dale Hawerchuk and Bryan Trottier as the only players with multiple five-point games before age 20.

Cooley recorded 5 goals and 3 assists for 8 points in four games, helping the Mammoth (8-2-0, 16 points) extend their winning streak to a franchise-record seven games from Oct. 15. He had no points in a 4-3 overtime win against the Colorado Avalanche on Oct. 21 but notched a career-best 3 goals and 1 assist, his second hat trick, in a 7-4 triumph over the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 23. Cooley followed with 2 goals and 1 assist in a 6-2 win versus the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 25—his eighth three-point game—and provided the primary assist on the tiebreaking goal in a 3-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 26.
