A club from Girardota, Antioquia, returned home after competing in the Copa Mundial Alfa 2026 with several titles and strong placements.
The club completed its participation in the international tournament on May 22, 2026. The Sub-14 and Sub-16 female teams were crowned champions, while the Sub-14 and Sub-18 male categories finished in third place.
A club statement praised the efforts of athletes, coaches and families. The message read: “Proud of each athlete, coach and family that was part of this process. Thank you for upholding the club’s name on and off the field”.
The achievements brought learning and excitement for the group that traveled from Antioquia. The club described the experience as “a club, a dream and a passion”.
