Colombia inflation reaches 6.14% in June, first 6% level in 22 months

DANE reported annual inflation accelerated to 6.14% in June from 5.84% in May. The monthly variation was 0.39%.

The National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) shared the results of the Consumer Price Index variation at the end of the first half of 2026.

Housing contributed 1.56 percentage points, food 1.29 percentage points and restaurants and hotels 1.07 percentage points to the total variation.

Piedad Urdinola, director of DANE, noted that "housing, food and restaurants and hotels put nearly three percentage points of the total variation in June".

The cities with the highest inflation were Bucaramanga at 7.05%, Pereira at 6.98% and Medellín at 6.98%.
