Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice in the closing stages to give Crystal Palace a 2-1 comeback victory over Newcastle United at Selhurst Park. Newcastle took the lead when William Osula poked home from point-blank range following Lewis Miley's right-wing cross, which Maxence Lacroix could not clear. Osula missed a chance for a second goal in the second half, denied by Dean Henderson's outstretched leg, while Jefferson Lerma struck the crossbar from a Yeremy Pino free kick.
