Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on November 16, 2025, the renaming of three metro stations in the Pitampura-Haiderpur belt. The move is intended to help passengers easily identify destinations and highlight the area's local distinctiveness.

The proposed North Pitampura station in QU Block will now be called North Pitampura-Prashant Vihar Metro Station. The proposed Pitampura North station will be renamed Haiderpur Village Metro Station, and the existing Pitampura Metro Station will become Madhuban Chowk Metro Station.

Gupta made the announcement during an event in Haiderpur village dedicated to honoring soldiers of the 1962 Rezang La War. One source refers to it as the 'Shreshth Bharat Sampark Yatra,' while another calls it the 'Raj Kalash Yatra.' She stated that the changes respect tradition while prioritizing modern facilities.

Additionally, the chief minister mentioned the ongoing progress on widening Max Hospital Road and constructing an underpass, which will improve traffic flow in the area. This decision aligns with the Delhi government's policy of modernizing infrastructure while preserving local culture. The renamings will benefit both metro commuters and residents of Pitampura and surrounding neighborhoods.
