Officials noted that this is the inaugural such station on the LoC, designed to counter misinformation and propaganda from across the border while offering a reliable platform for authentic information and addressing community concerns.
Due to its strategic location, the station's broadcasts can reach areas on the other side of the LoC. The inauguration was led by Rajouri Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, attended by civil society members, administrative officers, and locals.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma stated that the station would promote social awareness and public participation, amplify local voices, and strengthen ties between the administration and border residents, while also countering propaganda from across the LoC. This initiative marks a significant step in bolstering information outreach in remote border regions where traditional media access remains limited.
