Senator Flávio Bolsonaro said on Friday that his interactions with banker Daniel Vorcaro were limited to financing the film Dark Horse. He denied that new revelations would emerge and called for accounts from the production.
Flávio Bolsonaro stated in an interview with CNN Brasil that any additional leaks of conversations or meetings with Daniel Vorcaro, who is imprisoned on fraud suspicions, would deal exclusively with the film. The senator, a pre-candidate for president, confirmed that Vorcaro invested about 12 million dollars in the project, whose planned budget was 24 million.
The lawmaker denied that the funds benefited his brother Eduardo Bolsonaro and requested that the American fund or producer Go Up Entertainment present the contract and accounts. He reiterated that the contacts occurred before investigations against Vorcaro.
Separately, the deputy attorney general of the Public Ministry at the TCU requested an investigation into possible irregularities in the financing, including indirect use of public resources. Workers on the set reported to the union Sated-SP moral harassment, precarious conditions and below-market fees during filming last year.
