Four charged individuals file counter-complaints

The three men and one woman charged after incidents at the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra concert in Paris's Philharmonie have filed complaints for assault and breach of investigation secrecy. Their lawyer denounces unjustified lynching of his clients. These complaints follow disruptions that occurred on Thursday evening.

On Thursday evening, during a concert by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the Philharmonie de Paris, ticket-holding spectators attempted to interrupt the performance twice using fumigènes. These disruptions led to the charging of four individuals—three men and one woman—for multiple offenses, including endangering others through dangerous degradation, unlawful possession of incendiary products, undeclared public demonstration, refusal of police identification, and violence with a weapon.

According to their lawyer, Me Mohamed Jaite, contacted by AFP on Tuesday, the four charged individuals filed a complaint on Sunday for breach of investigation secrecy. They denounce 'attacks' suffered during their custody, including the revelation of three of their identities on a television channel. Two of them, A. M. and M. E., had already filed complaints on Saturday for assault. A. M. claims to have suffered a 'split skull' and contusions, with an X user celebrating having 'molested' him. M. E. reports having 'lost consciousness,' experienced vertigo, and been hospitalized, with another X user acknowledging the violence against her.

Me Jaite emphasizes: his clients 'underwent real lynching, even though they had shown no gesture or word threatening anyone.' For him, 'the only violences' of the evening targeted two of his clients, supported by videos showing individuals committing assaults. The Paris prosecutor's office has not responded immediately.

The Cité de la musique-Philharmonie de Paris, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, and Culture Minister Rachida Dati have condemned these incidents. The Collectif Palestine Action France claimed a 'peaceful' action to 'prevent this concert' and divert attention from 'crimes committed' in Gaza.
