Mbappe completed his brace in the 74th minute with another precise strike, also assisted by Olise. Sweden managed limited opportunities, with their best chances coming late in the game.
After the final whistle, players gathered around Deschamps in an emotional tribute. The coach had missed one group game following the death of his mother on June 23. Aurelien Tchouameni said the team aimed to support their manager.
"We know that the coach is going through a lot. We are going to try to give everything to make him as happy as possible," Tchouameni stated. Deschamps' contract ends after this tournament.
