French boutique Le Labo Store in Valence has announced a collaboration with New Balance on the RC56 silhouette. The partnership builds on the low-profile racer’s design, originally created with ALD. Previews show a premium mix of black and brown materials.
The RC56 sneaker from New Balance first debuted in collaboration with ALD, aligning with trends in retro runners, dance shoe silhouettes, and racecar-inspired designs. Following its initial release and subsequent inline colorways, the model now features a new overseas partnership with Le Labo Store, a boutique based in Valence, France.
This collaboration emphasizes material quality over bold colors, using a combination of black and brown tones. The upper includes a tan brown suede toe that extends to wavy side paneling with hairy fray details. Black leather covers additional sections, described as notably soft even in images. A reddish brown textured panel provides contrast between the suede stripes, while the “N” side panel logo incorporates more brown accents.
Previews of the Le Labo Store x New Balance RC56 have appeared on Instagram, highlighting what sources call one of the strongest iterations of the silhouette to date. Images are credited to kolroystudio.
No release date or retail price has been announced for this colorway. Updates are expected soon, in line with ongoing developments for New Balance collaborations.
